When Latvia declared a state of emergency on 12 March 2020, we launched the "A Table for Our Own" campaign on 18 March, where we donated to ensure that medical staff on the frontlines of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic received hot meals. It was incredible to see how easy it is for people to come together to care for those who selflessly care for us and our health, and every article about this simple act of kindness warmed us to the core.
The campaign ended on 9 June with the lifting of the state of emergency, and we hoped that the warm summer weather and the support people showed by distancing themselves socially and taking precautions would help reduce the spread of the virus. But in the cool autumn months the number of people sickened and infected with Covid-19 is increasing every daywhich means that the medical profession is once again in a situation where their health and safety are left behind in the effort to reduce the rapid spread of the virus.
They need our support more than ever, so it's great to see that some of the biggest media outlets in Latvia are already providing it by publishing articles about the relaunch of the "Table for Saviours" campaign, which we encourage you to check out in the links below.

Media support at this time is essential to inform all the people of Latvia that medical workers still need our help. Medical professionals are the backbone of the fight against the pandemic. Without their dedication and selflessness, the situation could be much more tragic than it is today.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported, continues to support and will continue to support medical workers! We respect and honour!
