The "Respite for our own" campaign to support medical workers is gaining momentum - with the donated funds, we have now accommodated 66 Covid-19 frontline workers in some of the most beautiful places in Latvia!
The Jaunķemeri rehabilitation centre KRC Jaunķemeri has also joined the "Respite for its own" campaign to support tired medical staff by offering a three-day health promotion programme "Healthy Days" for medical staff, and it is a great pleasure and gratitude that the Roja Hotel, which has taken special care of the well-being of its guests, is also participating in the "Respite for its own" campaign to provide accommodation for medical staff: "Sarmīte feels relaxed and entertained, even taken to Cape Kolka. Tomorrow she will be back in action!"
Guest house "Pītagi" in Košrags is also taking part in the "Rest for your own" campaign!
The medics report that everything is charming, there is excitement about the fireplace and the pine forest outside the window, as well as the sauna. It is a pleasure to visit the nearest sights, and to run to Kolka. The weather is also perfect!
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to take a break from seemingly impossible tasks, to rejuvenate both physically and emotionally. Sleep, fresh air, the forest and the sea are a wonderful resource to draw on. And how touching that seemingly unknown people have thought of this and arranged such an opportunity for medics. Thank you again!
May we all have a strong spirit and good health! "
The holidays were also busy - several families of medical workers were accommodated in different places in Latvia during the "A break for our own" campaign.
This time, special thanks to our volunteer Ilze, who offered her beautiful holiday house "Spilves" for the rest of the medical staff!
Message from a medical professional: "Welcome! Thank you, we had a very good rest, very hospitable hosts. I will recommend everyone to come here. "
Our sincere gratitude to the donors and the supportive hosts who give tired doctors, nurses and nursing assistants a chance to rest and recuperate.
