Yesterday we decorated a Christmas tree at the Hospice House!
And from afar, having seen it, Santa Claus came to visit with a bag of gifts!
Thanks to Ieva Gorkša, coordinator of our charity project "Fulfilled Desire", who had a desire to please those children who lost their mum or dad during our hospice care pilot project this year. By inviting other donors, volunteers, and kids - a joyful pre-holiday party was created!
In particular, we would like to emphasize that hospice care is special with the fact, that the patient is the whole family for us, and even after the one person leaves this world, our specialists take care of the emotional health of these families. At this stage, volunteering, presence, and engagement can be very helpful.
Thank you to the volunteers and donors who are very happy to be involved in organizing this event:
To Ingrīda Grahovska and Elīna Freimane, who held a great dinner cooking master class for children!
Pēteris Mičulis - for delicious cocktails!
As always, a special thank you goes to the members of the Hospice Friends Club, who support us with a monthly donation, with this kind of support, we bought food ingredients, aprons for children, helped Santa Claus with the arrival and packed gifts for the kids. Hospice House is a place with employees who do not count working hours and are always ready to help!
