"We would certainly live better in Latvia if everyone who has achieved something in life were willing to contribute to society. By establishing "Hospiss LV", both Ilzes have created new forms of practical assistance and changed how we view people in Latvia who are terminally ill.
An absolutely selfless, kind-hearted, and immensely valuable movement, for which we owe them deep gratitude," said Liene Dambiņa, Chairwoman of the Children's Hospital Foundation Board, introducing both founders of "Hospiss LV" Ilze Neimane Nešpora and Ilze Zosule, in the new "Women's Achievement Top 2024." We are delighted and proud that their activities have been noticed and appreciated!
Thank you to the magazine "Pastaiga" for creating a nomination in this list of outstanding women, alongside excellent politicians, athletes, artists, etc., under the category "Non-Governmental Organizations. Charity. Activists," in which four (!) representatives of "Hospiss LV" were included this year. The experts also recognized the work of project manager Inita Sila and Gunita Bārda, coordinator at Vidzeme Hospital.
Congratulations to Latvia's most influential, creative, and outstanding women. We agree with the editorial opinion: "Every time we compile our experts' opinions, we feel pride. Daring to change perspectives, realizing ideas, and determinedly moving toward a goal, making decisions, taking leadership and responsibility, building a great team, fighting against injustice—all these qualities describe the women we are proud of and the women we aspire to be like." There are truly many inspiring women in Latvia, and this achievement list proves it.
