The afternoon of 15 December was different than usual for the medical staff of the PCUS... Different because people gathered in the territory of Stradiņš Hospital and wanted to thank the medical staff for their work.
Among these people were the band Tautumeitas, musician Goran Gora, the HOSPISS LV volunteer team, the sound, stage and light people from AJV grupa Ltd, and warmly thoughtful snacks and drinks from Portofino Restaurant & Cafe, Laivu Centrs Restorāns and H2O Banketi. We are grateful to each and every one of you! We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with you.
Together, we were able to say thank you in an emotionally charged concert that evoked a sense of celebration. The medics listened to the concert both in the audience and from the windows and balconies of the surrounding buildings.
With the festive concert, we officially relaunched the "Respite for our own" campaign, which aims to encourage the public to donate to the three-day rest for medical staff in Latvian guesthouses and hotels. We have identified the first 40 medics who urgently need a rest to continue their work. We invite you to donate too!
