In cooperation with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, we enjoyed music in the wards.
On April the 12th, thanks to the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and Hospiss LV volunteers, the small palliative care ward in Biķernieki was filled with a very moving atmosphere, because it is not often that beautiful melodies are played at the bedside of a sick person.
Special thanks to Anete Toča and Ieva Šablovska, who dedicated a piece of music specifically for each ward, while the volunteers treated the patients to delicious pastries, aromatic Kalve coffee and delicacies from Rimi Latvija.
On April the 15th, the wonderful trio - Maija Zandberga (flute), Mareks Pinta (clarinet) and Jānis Semjonovs (bassoon) delighted the patients at Pauls Stradins University Hospital with the soothing music of Mozart and Haydn.
Beautiful music uplifts and heals!
After the concert, a gentleman gave the flutist his most delicious functional yoghurt instead of flowers.
A very beautiful and touching moments were expierenced
Patients shed tears of emotion and so did we. Mother Nature wakes up and reminds how beautiful and valuable life is.
